7. Comfortable temperature

How can we prevent our cities from becoming ovens in summer and freezers in winter? The major issues related to comfortable temperatures are closely intertwined with the energy problem. Saving energy doesn't mean we have to shiver or swelter!
Homes need to be well insulated, while also allowing air to circulate. This means treating glass and solid walls so that they trap heat in winter and keep cool in summer, and then installing suitable ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems, prioritising solutions that utilise natural air flow.
There are many different options, and one for every home.
