LIVING

1. Lifestyles

Home is having a place of your own: a protective sanctuary, an interior which resembles you.
Private and intimate, home is also a reflection of society.
It mirrors the needs, behaviour, aspirations and history of the people it houses.
Its internal organisation conveys the family structure, the distribution of domestic tasks, the emphasis placed on different activities, and also symbolic representations. The division of the space and the function of the rooms therefore vary over time, and according to cultural conventions.
What is the ideal home? There are as many ideals as there are countries or people. Take a leap into the future and your imagination – picture your future home.
