At the Palais de la découverte
Presentations
The Palais runs round 60 presentations every day! They cover topics relating to one of the fundamental sciences – physics, chemistry, mathematics, earth sciences, life sciences, astronomy and astrophysics – and are aimed at the general public and school groups.
Planetarium
Spectacular shows under a vault of 9,000 stars, where visitors can explore the night sky and learn about astronomy.
Workshops
Designed mainly for children, the workshops hinge on entertaining experiments that reveal the basic principles of science.
"A researcher, an experiment"
This original concept consists in inviting research scientists to the Palais to present their work and their laboratory. A unique opportunity for visitors to witness an experiment, ask questions and understand scientific progress in a specific field.
At the Cité des sciences
- The Cité's scientific explainers run cultural and educational activities that illustrate and complement the exhibitions.
- Over 13,000 activity sessions are provided for visitors each year.
- The activity sessions are designed for all – young and old, individuals or groups, and especially school parties.
- Activities may take the form of a guided visit, a demonstration, a workshop or a mini-show.
