Ma terre première

From October 6, 2009 to June 27, 2010

Earth is a raw material! For thousands of years man has used it to build houses, even in France. Largely shunned since the arrival of its close cousin concrete in the 1950s, earth is now back in fashion as its ecological and aesthetic benefits attract the attention of contemporary architects.
A whole host of experiments will allow you to grasp the hows and whys of building with earth. What better opportunity to learn more about the substance beneath your feet?

Earthwatch : the satellite revolution

Le système solaire revisité

Planet Earth is a natural spacecraft, orbiting the Sun at a speed of 100 000 kilometers per second. So in a way we are all travellers in space …
Man began his conquest of space some 50 years ago, and since then space has changed our lives. Thousands of satellites orbiting the Earth are monitoring our planet or searching the far reaches of the universe. They observe, photograph, calculate and transmit data. They enable us to expand our knowledge and improve the services needed to support and develop our activities. They help us to understand climate change, anticipate natural catastrophes or epidemics, manage deforestation, contain fires, and control air traffic. And of course they help us to find our way and communicate over vast distances.
