IMAX® films

The IMAX® system uses 70 mm film, whose picture area is ten times larger than standard 35 mm film. It is projected onto a 1,000 square-metre hemispherical screen, 26 metres in diameter, that considerably exceeds our maximum field of vision. Spectators are completely enveloped in the picture.

3D films

Ever since the earliest films by the Lumière brothers, the cinema has sought to immerse spectators fully in the action. Today, with digital technology and new liquid-crystal glasses (goodbye to red and green rectangles!), 3D cinema has been fully perfected. Get ready for a breathtaking experience on the giant screen of the Géode !

Live broadcasts by satellite

New! The Géode now lends its digital projection equipment, giant screen and spatialized sound system to high-definition live broadcasts of cultural events filmed around the world. You can enjoy rock concerts, classical performances or operas, as if you were actually there !
