Films in 3D

Cinema Louis Lumière

Put on the glasses with polarizing lenses and see the action in gripping 3D! Ever since it opened, the Cité des Sciences has presented 3D films on scientific subjects that can be enjoyed by all visitors. As well as co-producing its own short films, the Cité also screens films made by other French or foreign science museums. The films programmed are both scientific documentaries and spectacular immersive shows. Visitors can explore the ocean depths, discover the fascinating world of insects, travel through space to the heart of the sun, or journey inside the human body…
The 3D effect can be created in several ways. The Cité uses the polarized light technique, in which a metallized screen is viewed through glasses with polarizing lenses.
A 3D film show at the Cité is an unmissable experience, a fun educational activity for all the family, and a perfect complement to the exhibitions.
