Where did Leonardo da Vinci find the inspiration to devise his incredible machines? This exhibition will take you into the fascinating world of the renowned polymath and observer of nature. Through interactive displays, multimedia presentations and films, you can explore Leonardo's sources of inspiration, spheres of interest and ways of thinking, and discover 40 working models of his famous machines, built in 1953 to drawings contained in his manuscripts.
Highlights: the giant crossbow, the self-propelled wagon, the diving suit, the flying machine.
An exhibition in collaboration with Il Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, in partnership with EADS and with the assistance of Deutsches Museum.
