When we step into the nanoworld, we see matter in much finer detail on a very small scale. We can also analyse and modify it using new techniques. Despite the minuscule size of atoms and the specific physical laws governing them (quantum physics), today, nanosciences and nanotechnologies let us organise them more effectively to build nanostructures, with new, useful properties.
