A primary form of cot death

Called ""sudden infant death with dysgenesis of the testes"", a new form of the syndrome has been identified by a team of researchers from TGen (Translational Genomics Research Institute). By analysing the DNA of children who have died in this way, they have located the cause of the babies’ deaths in chromosome 6, whose TSPYL gene is altered. All the dead children have two abnormal copies of this gene and their parents are carriers.
