The Children's Gallery was inaugurated at the Hong Kong Science Museum on April 5, 2017 with Mr. Bruno MAQUART, President of universcience, Mr. Eric BERTI, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Ms Michelle LI Mei-sheung, JP, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Ms Florence HUI Hiu Fai, SBS, JP, Under Secretary for Home Affairs.
This new space of 500m², adapted from the Cité des enfants (Paris La Villette), is the result of a rich cooperation between Hong Kong Science Museum and Universcience teams. It is closely followed since the first exhibition presented in this museum was "Electricité" in 1999; then in 2004 the exhibition "Le Cheveu se décode" was presented and then, the Palais de la Découverte hosted an exhibition produced by the Hong Kong Science Museum: Flowers in the Mirror.
