Inspired by a field survey, the exhibition immerses the visitor in a world where industrial techniques, technological innovations and the transformation of living matter intertwine.
Through an immersive visitors’ path, combining sculptures, frescoes, digital works and photography, the exhibition retraces the major transformations, which have shaped modern agriculture, from post-war policies to recent technological revolutions. The artist adopts an agro-industrial aesthetic while reworking its codes: farm red, tractor green, pig pink and industrial yellow form a pop-style visual grammar which captures the audience’s attention before revealing the underlying tension between production and artificialisation.
The exhibition invites us to take a critical look at our relationship with the land, which has evolved from a living ecosystem to a simple crop substrate. It highlights the paradoxes of contemporary agriculture and calls on us to question, beyond its aesthetic power, the future of our landscapes and soils.

Fabien Léaustic explores a world at the crossroads of art, science and contemporary anthropology.
Following a 2-year residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, Fabien Léaustic enrolled in the SACRe (Science, Art, Creation & Research) programme at the Paris Sciences et Lettres research university, where he obtained his PhD in 2023.
Also an engineering school graduate, Fabien Léaustic fosters collaborative projects with scientific laboratories and explores the major issues of the Anthropocene Era through biotechnologies, cellular biology and space exploration. His work also draws on industrial expertise in the fields of agri-food, energy production, as well as extractive techniques to explore the ontological questions of the 21st century.
